I care that we have over 47 million Americans without health insurance.
I care that we have over 36 million Americans who live in poverty every single day.
I care that No Child Left Behind left my school behind.
I care about being able to afford a college education.
I care that our current foreign policy is making us more enemies than allies.
I care about bringing our troops home from the war in Iraq.
I buried a friend of mine earlier this year. He was killed in Action in Iraq by Islamic terrorists. But I try not to feel so bad. He died because he took a bullet that would have ended the life of a 6-year old little boy. And I would rather bury my best friend than bury a little boy I’ve never met. Wouldn’t you? DEATH TO ISLAM! MAKE THOSE BASTARDS PAY!

i find it kind of funny how so many claim to hate socialism, and then they take our socialized police officers, firefighters, libraries(then again i doubt cajones112 ever uses that), postal service and more for granted.
In this country, 20% of the population owns 84% of the wealth. How do you propose the other 80% get a hold of all that money the wealthy are sitting on? Did you earn the school you went to? Did you earn the roads you drive on? Did you earn your freedom or did someone else earn it for you? Did you earn police protection for your community? The way America works is that we are all in this together, man helping man for the benefit of all. BTW only a complete tool would name himself testicles.
What in the world are you talking about? Where did I say the government shouldn’t oversee anything? The problem we have is the government gets it’s mitts into too much. “Free Market,” what free market? And what makes you think I want to socialize the banks’ debts? Next time you want to respond to my comments, wait at least 8 hrs after you’ve had your last joint. That way you respond to things I didn’t say.
so its OK to socialize BILLIONS in debt because people like you think a “free market” exists, that government shouldnt oversee anything. Thats fine, dont SOCIALIZE the debt of these banks and companies if you wont SOCIALIZE the PROFITS!

I really don’t like any of the candidates. None of them impress me, but McCain looks like the best “Democrat” out there. You would think with 300,000,000 people in the country, we could do better.
You’re correct to a degree but you absolutely need military power to back it up. We’re up against an irrational enemy who would literally rather die than “communicate” or “negotiate”.
Our foreign policy has ABSOLUTELY made us more enemies. I’ve been to Europe and rode in a taxi cab past the protest signs. It was a bit of a shock to see it, but it was no surprise. Peace is an ACTIVE process of constant communication, monitoring, negotiation, and detente.
